Characteristics
An old-fashioned grape variety with a very intense garnet-red color. On the nose, it gives off aromas of very ripe red fruit (blackcurrant, crushed red berries), with notes of prunes and violets. It remains very present on the finish.
Soils and expositions
South, southeast exposure on clay and limestone soils.
Surface area
2.5 hectares on 50-year-old vines with a yield of 35hl/ha.

Vinification
Pigeage and délestage long vatting (6 weeks) after sorting on conveyor belts and destemming. No exogenous yeasts.
Accompaniment
This wine is ideal with full-bodied dishes in sauce, game, strong cheeses, or for a pleasant moment by the fire with friends or around the dinner table.
Tips A very rustic wine that will reveal all its intensity with age… To be left to settle or drunk at room temperature.
